dvtm – the dynamic virtual terminal manager – is a tiling terminal manager modeled after dwm. At my current job I am doing a lot of development over ssh necessitating a terminal manager. dvtm was the obvious choice as I am already familiar with dwm. I have started to port my dwm patches to dvtm, and the first up was the fibonacci layout patch.

When resizing a terminal in dvtm by making it smaller, any text that goes off the edge gets cut off. When making the terminal larger again, that text is never redrawn. I have created a patch that keeps that text in the buffer even when resizing so it never gets lost.
